6 Australian Brands With Clothing That Hides Sweat

6 Australian Brands With Clothing That Hides Sweat

Have you ever searched on Google or other browsers "where to buy clothing for hyperhidrosis" or "clothing that hides sweat"? There's information about the best fabrics, t-shirts, undergarments, but is there a list of brands where we can buy fashion clothing that is sweat-friendly?

Yes! Here is that list!

Following on from my last post about what to look for to find sweat friendly clothing, I wanted to compile a list of Australian clothing brands where you can find clothes that hide sweat. I have shopped at all of these brands and found great clothing for hyperhidrosis, so have confidence knowing that these brands and clothing types have been tried and tested by a sweaty person.

I don't always want to reach for a t-shirt, but something a bit more special. Under each brand, I have suggested items that I would buy from them, so you can see for yourself and get ideas of what works for hiding sweat. There are suggestions of t-shirt basics and more unique clothing choices - something to suit everyone's needs.

In a later post I will release a list of international clothing brands that also have great sweat friendly clothing options. Subscribe to be notified of that release!

    Sportsgirl

An Aussie classic. You can find great cotton basics here – singlets and t-shirts. I’m a fan of Sportsgirl's viscose items which they usually stock as blouses and matching top and bottom sets. The main fabric used for their clothing is a linen/viscose blend, which is good but not my favourite, sweat-wise. I have a yellow shirt in this fabric and I like it because it’s a loose design so sweat isn’t too visible. However, I bought a black dress in this blend and the lint fibers came off on my sweaty hands when I would wipe them on the dress. This doesn’t happen with the yellow shirt, so I recommend avoiding dark colours in this fabric blend.

    What I would buy:

    Dissh

Having gone through a rebrand a couple of years ago, Dissh now stocks a LOT of linen. I have a linen wrap top that’s super cute and doesn't show sweat. Most of the offering at Dissh is neutral, black and white items. Like Sportsgirl, their viscose sets are also good for hiding sweat.
The secret is really in the print design.

    What I would buy:

    • Viscose Pants  (has matching shirt)
    • Linen Pants (has matching shirt)
    • Linen Top
    • Interested to try this Dress - it is a viscose/rayon blend with viscose lining so I believe it would be an effective sweat-friendly item.

    Arnhem

This brand is where I first discovered Tencel, and it opened a whole new world for me. Their prints are very bohemian and floral, and their style of clothing is feminine and relaxed. Arnhem now uses mostly Ecovero Viscose instead on Tencel, however this is still a great fabric. There's also a pre-loved resale section where you might find some older styles in tencel.

    What I would buy:

    Bydee

This is a swimwear brand (obsessed with their swimmers they are gorgeous), but they have a new ready to wear range that includes a printed dress, top and skirt made from viscose. These items are semi-sheer and would hide sweat well.

What I would buy (apart from the swimmers):

    Mister Zimi

Known for their beautiful dress silhouettes, most of the prints they release are busy enough to hide sweat. One fabric Mister Zimi consistently uses is a viscose crepe with a textured hand-feel. I love this fabric for hyperhidrosis as it’s nice and light, and doesn't show sweat marks as quickly as a thin cotton fabric would. They release multiple prints for each style, so I like to shop by print on the website where I can see which print is going to be good at hiding sweat, then I choose the styles I like.

    Current prints I would buy:

    Shona Joy

They cater a lot to evening wear with lovely colours and draped designs including silk, viscose, and cotton. I recently got into wearing silk as a sweat-friendly fabric, and I love these shorts (has matching top too) I bought from Shona Joy. Yes, it is a classic black with a floral print, but hey it works for hiding sweat!

    What I would buy:

Finding clothing that hides sweat in colours or patterns you like can be draining. I spend the time to find what I like, because wearing clothing that hides sweat is the biggest confidence booster for me.
